That was achievement 1 of the weekend - 120 minutes non-stop running (and past the half way distance mark!).
Achievement 2 was realising that running can be enjoyable. On Friday morning at 6.30am doing a Threshold run (I have just learnt what that is - hell...), I was experiencing the antithesis of fun.
But then I went with David for a run through Styal woods - sunshine, blue sky, lots of mud, hills to run up and down, logs to jump over... great for the soul and to put a smile on your face.
Maybe I will give fell running a shot once this marathon training is over....
