New Multi-Activity Helmets in Stock - Meteor III + and Picchu

Our stock of the new multi-activity helmets from Petzl have finally arrived!  The Meteor III + and the Picchu have both been certified for more than just climbing, meaning that they are great value and can reduce the amount of kit you have to store and pack for your adventures.

Meteor III +
This multi-activity helmet has been well thought out.  Certified for climbing, cycling and whitewater sports to European standards, you no longer have to buy or pack a helmet for each sport.  Add to this that it is light weight, is the most ventilated helmet on the market, and can be adjusted in 3 ways to fit your head properly and comfortably - it certainly ticks a lot of boxes.  To see more, take a look online or come in store to try it on.

Picchu
Got a little nipper that is starting to climb and ride a bike? Just as with the Meteor II +, you no longer need to buy two helmets. Petzl have produced this kids helmet to work for both sports. It has been certified to European standards for both climbing and cycling, and also US standards for cycling.  It comes with 3 sheets of stickers (awesome!) - one sheet is reflective for added visibility.  Last but not least, there is a mount at the back for a red signal light (light is included) for further visibility at night.  They really have thought of everything! Shop Re-fit Work

The poly-sheeting is going up, there is the sweet sound of hammering and sawing already (sure we'll feel differently about it after a day or too!)...yep, our shop re-fit has started. We're giving the store a bit of an overhaul this Spring time.

It's business as usual - just a bit of extra noise.

Test Gear to Destruction - Tonight

Our Test Gear to Destruction event is on in the shop tonight. Great fun. Essentially we destroy perfectly good (and some not so perfectly good!) climbing gear to see how strong it really is, where it fails and why, and what daft things we can do that can reduce it's ability to protect us.

You don't have to climb to find this interesting!

Our Petzl Rep from Lyon Equipment is carrying out the testing.  We have special deals on kit tonight and a few freebies to give away.
